On Thursday, the Home Depot Foundation and the Baltimore Station renovated their local facilities to help homeless veterans and their families.

Hundreds of volunteers spent Thursday renovating a homeless veteran treatment facility in south Baltimore. The Baltimore Station residential and out-patient treatment facility primarily serves those who have served. Thursday, the community showed their appreciation by picking up paintbrushes and lawnmowers.

Students from Blind Services and Industries of Maryland prepared dinner for veterans at the Baltimore Station on Wednesday evening. The students cooking and serving are part of the CORE program. This is a 9-11 month program which teaches blind adults non-visual skills.

Last year, The Baltimore Station underwent major renovations to our facility which meant that the entire program needed to find a new home for nearly two weeks.
